Our company was born out of a longing for deep intentionality in all that we are and all we create. We bring that desire for character, story, and personal connection into every space we create. Slow Coast spaces are driven by a passion for quality craftsmanship, elevated design, and effortless livability. Our aesthetic is deeply influenced by old-world Europe- particularly the Mediterranean coasts Hayden once called home. Our designs are riddled with story- vintage bits, original art, living finishes, and perfectly imperfect heirlooms that tell the stories of yesterday.

The Slow Coast Way
After a childhood in which home was ever-changing, Hayden's love for interiors was born out of a deep longing for intentionality in her spaces. She stumbled into designing new builds six years ago and discovered a passion for weaving old-world charm into brand new spaces.
She draws much of her aesthetic inspiration from nature and love of vintage finds- favoring pieces rich with texture, warm tones and history. Her designs are heavily influenced by her days living abroad- from the Italian coast to Middle Africa, Latin America to Southeast Asia.
As a mom, she believes wholeheartedly in finding the perfect balance between spaces we love to look at and spaces that serve us well in our current life seasons (read: less time scrubbing tiny fingerprints from white couches & more time actually living)
She has been married to her husband, Landon since 2020 and currently lives their son, Shay, & black lab, Buckets, on the sunshiny coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
